No revisions or amendments were proposed or adopted to the Chicago Association of Law Libraries Bylaws in 2016-2017. The Chair confirmed with the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL) Bylaws Committee Chair that no AALL Bylaws amendments or revisions have been proposed or adopted which would require CALL Bylaws harmonization.

Objectives
The main charge of the Committee is to monitor issues of interest to the law library community and report on those issues to the membership. The Committee’s projects for 2016-17 were to update CALL’s “Finding Illinois Law Guide,” to contribute to the CALL Bulletin by updating CALL members on state and federal legislative items of interest, to work with the Continuing Education Committee on a brown bag lunch or other educational session on government information, and to work with Congressman Quigley’s office on making CRS Reports more widely available. The 2016-2017 Grants and Chapter Awards Committee was charged with selecting grant recipients based on established criteria for CALL members to attend professional meetings as well as selecting recipients of the chapter awards.
As of May 2017, CALL had over 230 members. An exact number is not available as the renewal process for the new CALL year began and I had not pulled a report just prior.
The CALL Directory was produced once this year, in May. Corrections/updates are made by the Membership Committee. Then, the update is posted by the Internet Committee on CALL’s website. Members are also able to look at directory information via Wild Apricot, however the PDF online provides additional information. The organization index will be added shortly.
