Challenges
Mr. Lutifiyya highlighted the important role the library has played in addressing the default hiring practices that work against increasing diversity and inclusions.
Challenge 2: there are still impediments to advancement from implicit bias. For instance, a feedback exercise showed bias for white male author that missed errors, assumed worse skills for black author: https://t.co/65YRRnogwv

Through the process, he noted how important it is to avoid “outsourcing” diversity work to rules alone. He said the library and other committed staff are essential to building a different company-wide commitment.
