In 2025-26, the Community Service Committee was chaired by Leah Whitesel. The member of the committee was Frank Young.
Volunteer Opportunities
We successfully coordinated the following three volunteering opportunities from November 2025 to April 2026:
- November 2025: Sending books to incarcerated youth with Liberation Library
- March 2026: Re-packing clothing with Cradles to Crayons
- April 2026: Presenting at Chicago Public Library’s All-Staff Institute Day
Fundraisers at Business Meetings
In the past, in conjunction with each of the quarterly CALL Business Meetings, a specific organization was selected that met the charitable organization selection criteria created by the Executive Board. We did not continue fundraisers this year but can re-start in the future.
This approach of direct donation does not permit us to track the total number or dollar amount of donations made by CALL membership to each organization.
