At the Northern Illinois University Law Library, we have a tradition of dressing up books for our Halloween display. The “costumes” have been created over time by library staff and student workers, and most are reused annually, though we also enjoy adding new decorations when time permits. The costumes are attached to the books with removable tape or are held between the books’ pages, so no books are injured in the creation of this display.

We hope this gallery inspires other law libraries to reimagine their physical collections and displays. The CALL Bulletin would gladly include your photo features in future issues, so please reach out to the editors when you have fun displays or decorations to share!
