New Member Profile – Rachel Ford

Biographical Info: Resources Management Librarian at Northern Illinois University Law Library

I am responsible for the library’s electronic resources and interlibrary loan, as well as maintaining the websites for the library and the College of Law. I also work on acquisitions, statistics, ILS administration, and the institutional repository, and provide basic reference and circulation services as needed. Remembering John Klaus

Our friend and colleague John Klaus died unexpectedly this March. John was a kind, caring, thoroughly professional, and wonderful person who loved his family and his work. He came to the Library of the U.S. Courts of the Seventh Circuit in 1989 after beginning his law librarian career at the Chicago office of Jenner and Block.

He guided the research and reference librarians, judges, law clerks, and staff of the courts through the many evolving changes in legal research over the more than thirty years he served the federal judiciary. Continue reading Remembering John Klaus

Retiring Member Profile: Gretchen Van Dam

2020 Outstanding Lifetime Achievement Honoree: Kathleen Powers Goodridge

JoAnn Hounshell Receives Agnes and Harvey Reid Award

The Chicago Association of Law Libraries honors JoAnn Hounshell with the  2015 Agnes and Harvey Reid Award for Outstanding Contribution to Law Librarianship.

JoAnn Hounshell has been committed to serving law librarianship and law libraries for over 25 years.  She is well known to CALL, having served on the Board three times.  She has been elected both Treasurer (2004-06) and Director (1998-99).  Most recently, she served as Vice President/President/Past President (2011-14).
