In conjunction with the February Business Meeting, the CALL Community Service Committee coordinated a volunteer clothes-sorting outing at Cradles to Crayons on Saturday March 11th with CALL members Brandy Ellis, Mandy Lee, Beth Schubert, Stacia Stein, Leah Whitesel, and Mike McMillan attending.
Special thanks to Chicago-Kent Law students Shabnam Mahammadli and Khrystna Slyusarchuk for joining us as well as the team at Cradles to Crayons for providing great guidance in a fun environment. We also raised money to support Open Books.
In conjunction with our May Business Meeting, we are readying plans to volunteer and participate in Chicago River Day at Horner Park on May 13th coordinated by Friends of the Chicago River. We are also encouraging donations to the Books to Women in Prison organization.
