When IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law Library acquired the Library of International relations in 1983 and these posters were included in that special collection.

These posters were rediscovered packed into a storage box in 2006, probably held in that condition since the move to the current building in the early 90s. One of our professors, Howard Eglit, remembers rescuing the box during the move when it was set to be discarded during that move.

Many of the 128 posters had never been unfolded until 2006 and still had paper bands wrapped around them as they were shipped in the 1940s. During the archival process, we gently opened them just enough to identify each poster number, then re-packed them into archival boxes for long-term storage.
